A rose by any other name

Sophie

I have been thinking about changing the name of my blog. I sometimes think it is silly to have a blog called Grow. Cook. Sew. when I don't really have enough time to do any of the above. And one day soon (fingers crossed) I will be on full time bed rest and won't be able to do anything but stare at the ceiling! What do you think? (Maybe 'days of boredom' is appropriate?!)

Also, I have been doing fat mum slim's 'January photo a day challenge'. You can follow me on Instagram @katie_porter (Oh, how I love instagram!) and on twitter by the same name.
Please follow me, I am so sick of writing tweets that no one (except my husband) read.

In other news, Sophie let me do her hair.. like actually brush it and everything. Milestones people, milestones!

Nooo don't change it! I love 'grow cook sew' and quite often find myself jealous of it :) Blog names are tricky, yours is good, stick with it xxx

No don't change..I love it too!!! Wishing for you with all my heart a year of crisp white cotton sheets with a ridiculous thread count, copious cups of tea, back issues of Frankie, glow in the drak stars on that ceiling...and a new little life. May all your dreams come true this year :) x

Definitely don't change it - I love your blog name and as Emma said above, I wish I'd thought of such a cool blog name :) Even if you feel you don't get to dothose things as often as you'd like, they are still homely things you enjoy and this blog is about you and your life. Am crossing my fingers for you that this year is a happy one for you xx

I agree with the comments above. Grow.cook.sew is a lovely name. And i'm certain one day you'll have time to do more of each of these.

I had two months bed rest when I was pregnant with our daughter. I'm actually very thankful for that time because my husband realised how much I actually did around the house and is now a far more handier and appreciative husband ;-)

I also learnt how to slow down - although I must admit I seem to have forgotten how to do that again...

I vote for 'don't change'

Just because you're not doing those things now doesn't mean they aren't special to you in your heart. Leave room for them to return and they will.

Having discovered your blog today I am wishing you all the happiest days in 2012. Having (only) one miscarriage behind me I am sharing your courage and suffering and urging you to be mindful of the magic which is waiting to happen to you. Have faith.

Looking back on your past posts I am struck by how beautiful you are.

Warmest wishes from France.

I think it's a great name, simple, self-explanatory and unpretentious!
You don't have to be doing things all the time for them to be part of your life, and I'm sure you will get back to them.

Please don't change your blog name - I love it and it's so catchy! I do find it very exciting being 'allowed to do your daughters hair' it took me 3 years to be allowed to do my daughters and now it takes me an extra 30 Mins just to get out of the house (Shes only 4)!! I also follow you on instagram and am totally in love with instagram too,

I truly believe this is the year of happy. Focus on your shining 4 year old and let her light your way forward. You will find a place for Grace and as time passes you will visit it but it won't consume you and hurt as badly. Focus on positive energy and know that love always finds a way.
Best wishes

I love the name don't change it. It's simple and pretty. Surely your blog doesn't always have to be about what you do right now and can instead be about what you would do if life didn't get in the way?

I found your blog because of those 3 words. Sarah is right 'Leave room for them to return and they will.'
