M.I.A

sophie and henry

When you start getting messages from people you don't know asking if you are okay it's probably time to write a post.

Life has just been so busy and I find myself wondering how anyone with kids (especially a baby) finds the time to blog at all.

I barely have time to sit down at all these days.. managing to shower and make dinner is cause for celebration at the moment and once the kids are in bed I am lucky if I can even find the energy to brush my teeth!

I have considered giving up on blogging altogether.. there are so many people who are so much better at it than me and I sometimes wonder if it's a waste of my time.. Maybe I would be better off using my time to sit down with a cup of tea and a good book at the end of the day rather than staring at the computer.
(Although I have to admit that this is the first time I have used the computer in weeks, months even!)

Henry is doing so well.. he is just such a sweet little boy but has currently decided that sleeping is not his thing. Yeah, that sucks. Sophie is just loving being a full time school girl and we are slowly getting into the whole school routine.

I'll leave you with a picture of those two little possums that I took today.

I can't believe I'm still awake!

It is nice to see you back! Beautiful picture of your children. And yes, finding time for oneself is hard with a family. Do what you love in your free time. Happy Easter xx

I love reading your blog but it's true - it's time consuming to do. I guess just do it when you feel the love?
but anyway...happy easter friend! those possums are too sweet for words (and looking like each other, do you think?)

Oh I love your posts! And what makes a good blogger anyway? Some of my favourites have become so commercialised of late that I just don't enjoy reading them, even when they post every day. They just seem to have lost some sincerity. I understand why your posts are few and far between right now. :)

Lovely to see you pop in here Katie and what a gorgeous photo!! Be kind to yourself, you shouldn't feel pressured to post. The early days with a bub are full on enough as is :) xx

What a lovely picture! Those two are too cute, and their eyes - oh my!

I have to admit that I am glad to see a post of you, but nevertheless I think that of course you shouldn't feel pressured to blog - perhaps you could just blog when you feel like it, even if that's just once every few weeks?

Wishing you many beautiful moments with your family, and some quiet time for yourself, too!

Fine

I love reading your blog. I think you write beautifully and honestly and yours is one of the top three blogs that I log in to see if there is a new post. I've only just started blogging myself though, so the novelty is definitely still there. I can imagine that you might get a bit tired of it especially after putting both your little ones to bed after a busy day. There is definitely not much down time with two that's for sure. I am hoping I can read back over my words in years to come and remember what a happy time it was. (Although a friend suggested I write about all the tedious things and the hard work it is with two kids so that I never want to revisit this time!). Anyway, good luck with whatever you decide, but this is a lovely space that you have created here and a pleasure to read. Thanks

Hi Katie,
From another Perth mum of two - I HEAR YA!
Life is so busy with kids its a rare moment I find time to simply dedicate to myself, and the things I love to do. Even then, I manage to fall asleep 10 pages into my magazine or book!

I see you on Instagram and sometimes I use this as a quick and easy way to express my creativity & loves of my life. Its just in pictures, not words.

Oh AND Pinterest! (lets not go there) ;-))
